Uniondale farm stay, Rens Reich Guest Farm - Activities

Rens Reich is a working farm but you are most welcome to stroll around the farm tracks or in the bush.

Birders especially will enjoy their walks here.

By all means bring your mountain bikes and ride the farm and bush trails.

For city and town dwellers we recommend taking advantage of the clear Karoo skies to do a bit of star gazing after dark.

Scenic drives

There are several very scenic drives which can be enjoyed as trips from Rens Reich:

• The greatest scenic treasure of the Eastern Cape, the Baviaanskloof;

• Prince Alfred's Pass to Knysna through the Outeniqua Mountains;

• Forbidding Meiringspoort through the Groot Swartberg Mountains;

• The old Montagu Pass to George.

Places to visit

• The pretty little dorp of Uniondale with its British hilltop fort and its thriving artistic community;

• Willowmore, with spectacular vistas from the top of Aasvoëlberg (Vulture Mountain);

• tiny De Rust with its association with one of C.J. Langenhoven's famous stories;

• Oudtshoorn and its rich heritage of ostrich farming, its crocodile farm and the world famous Cango Caves nearby.
